Overview:

The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue specialty program teaches you the skills you need to protect yourself and other divers. You will learn how to identify stress, how to prevent accidents and be taught practical techniques to conduct rescues and provide emergency care.

Morning:

9:30 – 11:00 Let’s start with some theory!

11:00 Lunch Break!

11:45 Free transportation from Taco Shack to the boat

Afternoon:

12:30 -16:45 You will perform two dives in the sea. A skill dive in which you will practice how to rescue a panicked diver, an unconscious diver, and other important skills. During the second dive, you will explore the underwater marine life and learn some extra emergency skills!

16:45 – Free transportation from the boat to Taco Shack

Morning:

10:00 Exam time!

11:00 Lunch Break! 

11:45 Free transportation from Taco Shack to the boat

Afternoon:

12:00 -16:45 Prepare for two more dives to explore the dive sites and put your newfound rescue skills to the test!

16:45 Congratulations! You are a rescue diver now, and you are ready to help anyone who will need assistance! Free transportation from the boat to Taco Shack!

Checklist

Prerequisites:

Age
A minimum of 12 years old
Level
Open Water Diver License (could be from PADI, CMAS, TDI, RAID, etc…)

Have proof of current Oxygen provider, First Aid, CPR training within 2 years
Health

No adverse medical conditions

Make sure you do not have any "Yes" on the second page of the medical form; if so, you will need a paper from the doctor (easy to get in Thailand).

Afternoon:

11:45 – Free transportation from Taco Shack to the boat and back!

12:30 -16:45 – You will perform two dives in the sea. A skill dive in which you will practice some of the course's fundamental skills. During the second dive, you will explore the underwater marine life and get addicted to diving!

Morning:

You are free in the morning; however, you have some homework to do, so you can use that time to do so.

11:15 – Free lunch - Vegetarian option available!

Afternoon:

12:00 – Free transportation from Taco Shack to the boat

12:30 -16:45 – Get ready for two more dives! The first dive will be a skill dive, in which we will practice some additional skills to ensure that you receive proper training. During the second dive, you will continue to explore the underwater world with a maximum depth of 12 meters!

16:45 – Free transportation from the boat to Taco Shack

Morning:

7:30 – 12:00 – You are ready to take a step forward in your course! By now, you have learned so much about diving that you are ready to go a little bit deeper. You will complete two dives at a maximum depth of 18 meters, where only certified divers will go! Discover two of Koh Tao's best dive sites!

Exam: You will have a small exam during the trip, but don't worry, it is made for a 10-year-old, so I am sure you will do just fine!

Afternoon:

12:00 – Congratulations! You are a certified diver, and you are ready to explore the world underwater at 18 meters! Free transportation from the boat to Taco Shack!
